The Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum would like to invite area families to build a blanket “fort” anywhere in the museum they would like and to picnic, if they wish, inside their “fort.” The first Family Fort Night is scheduled for Friday, March 15th. The event will run from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. and is free with regular admission or membership.
Participants are encouraged to bring flashlights and a few old blankets or other materials to build a temporary fort among the Museum’s many exhibits. The Museum will supply some items that can be used for a fort. Maybe your “fort” could be connected to the intestine slide with its fart button. Or maybe yours could be inside the ambulance! There will be s’mores and hot chocolate available and pizza delivery is available for $6 by calling ahead.
No reservations are necessary, just show up for an evening of family fun!
