Walk for Warriors 2025

Semco Energy Gas Company Holding 2nd Annual Walk For Warriors Benefiting Operation Injured Soldier

Operation Injured Soldier (OIS) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2005. OIS provides recreational opportunities (free of charge) to wounded military veterans in gratitude of their service. OIS events offer aid in recovery from physical and emotional injuries sustained during conflict deployment.

In last year’s first annual Walk for Warriors, SEMCO walked 30 miles honoring the 20 soldiers lost to suicide plus the 10s of thousands of people affected by those tragedies. SEMCO employees, family, friends and vendors raised over $20k for OIS toward a new mental health program. This year’s walk is now open to select local areas across Michigan.

Walks will take place on June 14th in

  • Holland, MI along Lakeshore Drive
  • Macomb, MI along the Macomb Orchard Trail
  • Pellston, MI at Brave Hearts Estate
  • and Marquette, MI along the Marquette Multi-use Trail
