Calendar – Outdoors – Torch Light Trek – Jan. 24

Ishpeming – The Ishpeming Torch Light Trek youth cross country ski event will be held on Thursday, January 24 at 6 p.m. at the Al Quaal Recreation Area in Ishpeming.

A short loop will be groomed on the School Trail just east of Birchview School with tiki torches lit to guide the way. The Torch Light Trek is geared for young people who are just learning or have never tried cross country skiing. Everyone is welcome, regardless of ability.

The event is free and participants will receive a commemorative ribbon as a keepsake from the event.

Limited free rental equipment will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Adults and kids who have their own equipment are encouraged to bring their gear and participate.
