Negaunee – The annual Heikki Lunta Winterfest will be held on and around Teal Lake in Negaunee Saturday, January 15 and Sunday, January 16.
The Heikki Lunta Fishing Derby will be on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Teal Lake. Heikki Lunta Bonfires will begin at 5 p.m. on Saturday, followed by fireworks at 7 p.m.
The Heikki Lunta Eagles Breakfast Buffet will be offered on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Negaunee Clubhouse. Tickets: Youth ten and younger, $4; seniors, $5; adults, $6. Call 475-9584 for more information.
The Heikki Lunta Blooper Ball Tournament will be held on Sunday, beginning at 10 a.m. at Old Towne Festival Park on Tobin Street in Negaunee. Participate or watch this hilarious version of winter baseball with oversized bats and balls. For more information, call 486-8084.
Geocaching will take place on Sunday beginning at noon with instruction at the Negaunee Senior Center,410 Jackson Street in Negaunee. Walkers, snowshoers and skiers will use GPS units to search for treasure beginning at 1 p.m.
