Snyder Makes Appointments to Michigan Iron Industry Museum Advisory Board

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder  announced three appointments to the Michigan Iron Industry Museum Advisory Board.

Housed within the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, the nine-member board advises the department on policies, plans and programs concerning the Negaunee-based Michigan Iron Industry Museum. It also supports education programs and public use of the facility.

“I am confident these Michiganders will do good work on behalf of the museum and the people of the Great Lakes State,” said Snyder.

Amy Clickner, of Negaunee, is chief executive officer of Marquette-based Lake Superior Community Partnership, where she has worked since 1998. She previously served as manager of customer care and marketing for Superior Spectrum. Clickner holds an associate degree in office administration from Ferris State University and a bachelor’s degree in office administration/management from Northern Michigan University. She will represent the city of Negaunee and replaces Don Mourand.

Jennifer Huetter, of Negaunee, is the Michigan district manager of public affairs for Cliffs Natural Resources, a position she has held since 2011. She previously served as creative services producer and associate director of creative services for WLUC-TV6. Huetter earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations/marketing from Northern Michigan University. She will represent Negaunee Township and replaces Peter Kotila.

Susan Hornbogen, of Marquette, is office manager for North Country Engineering Inc., a position she has held since 2008. She previously served as a teacher and substitute teacher for Marquette Area Public Schools. Hornbogen received a bachelor’s degree English from Northern Michigan University. She will represent the general public and replaces James Dellies.

Appointees will serve four-year terms that expire Oct. 4, 2016, and their appointments are not subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
