asty Reads meets on 1/21 at Peter White Public Library

Tasty Reads, a book group for readers who love to cook, will meet for a lunchtime book discussion at the Peter White Public Library on Monday, January 21 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm in the library’s Shiras Room. This month’s book selection is “The Cooking School Murders” by Virginia Rich.

Virginia Rich, food columnist and editor turned author, pioneered the ‘culinary mystery’ with the publication of “The Cooking School Murders” in 1982. The book includes recipes, the hallmark of this sub genre.

Main character, Mrs. Eugenia Potter, an attractive widow of a certain age, arranges an adult cooking class in a small town. When classmates, some of whom are also friends, turn up dead, she needs more than a recipe to avoid disaster.

Participants are invited enjoy sample recipes from the book and new members are always welcome. The Tasty Reads meets the third Monday of each month at the library and there is no admission charge. For more information visit www.pwpl.info or call
