Marquette – In honor of the recent film premiere of ”The Hobbit,” the Peter White Public Library will host screenings of “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy Wednesday December 26, Thursday, December 27 and Saturday, December 29 in the library’s Community Room.
The Lord of the Rings film series is based on English author J. R. R. Tolkien’s three-volume book of the same name. The films are, by subtitle, “The Fellowship of the Ring” released in 2001, “The Two Towers” releases in 2002, and “The Return of the King” released in 2003. They are all rated PG-13.
The film screening schedule is:
Wednesday December 26 at 5 p.m. “The Fellowship of the Ring”
Thursday, December 27 at 5 p.m. “The Two Towers”
Saturday. December 29 at 1 p.m. “The Return of the King”
