November is National Family Caregivers Month

The Veterans Administration understands the difficulties of being a Caregiver. If you’re caring for a Veteran who suffers from serious physical or psychological injury received in the line of duty, the VA’s Caregiver Support Program is designed to help.

Services this program offers for the Caregiver of Veterans injured on or after September 11th, 2001, include: Caregiver training, monthly stipend, travel expenses, health care, counseling, and in-home and respite care. Caregivers of Veterans of other eras are also eligible for the same benefits except for monthly stipends and health care.

Veterans and their Caregivers interested in this program should visit www.caregiver.va.gov or call 1-800-215-8262, extension 32506.
