International Anthropologist Addresses Climate Change November 26th at NMU

MARQUETTE—Myanna Lahsen, a senior researcher at the Brazilian Institute for Space Research, will give a presentation at Northern Michigan University titled “International Variation in Anti-Environmentalism: Climate Change Politics and Policy in the U.S. and Brazil.” The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, in Mead Auditorium in the West Science Building.

Lahsen is a cultural anthropologist whose work focuses on the relations between environmentalism, public policy and mass communications. She is currently an editor for WIREs Climate Change, an interdisciplinary research journal, and has received several research fellowships. She attended NMU in 1987.
