MARQUETTE, Mich.—Northern Michigan University’s music department will host a jazz trio concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, in Reynolds Recital Hall. Musicians include jazz band director Mark Flaherty on the cornet, local guitarist Dave Ziegner and NMU senior Harry South on the bass guitar. The trio will feature a variety of standards by composers Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, Hoagy Carmichael and Antonio Carlos Jobim. Admission is free and open to the public.
