Block Busting Cinema Dinner & a Movie: The Substance
Monday, February 9, 2026. 5:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Peter White Public Library Community Room. Adults, Seniors. Bring your dinners to PWPL and enjoy an evening of food and film. Tables will be available for dining. This month’s feature, The Substance, starring Demi Moore in an Oscar-nominated performance, was one of 2025’s most talked-about movies. Rated R. Sea Hounds in Concert

Docu Cinema: An Act of Love: A Personal Story About LGBTQ Rights and Religion

School’s Out, Library’s In: Valentine’s Day
Friday, February 13, 2026. 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Peter White Public Library Youth Services Room. Kids of all ages are welcome to come and hang out at the library during this MAPS half-day! Come read, check out materials, play and drop-in for some special half-day activities! Celebrate Valentine’s Day with Love LEGO building and magnets in the Great Room, and a Valentine’s Craft-A-Palooza in the Makerspace. Repair Cafe
Saturday, February 14, 2026. 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Peter White Public Library Huron Mountain Club Gallery. Toss it? No way! The Repair Café is back thanks to a partnership with the Marquette Sustainability Coalition. Bring in broken household goods such as appliances, clothing, or bikes and skilled fixers will assist you in repairing them. This is a great way to save money, learn valuable repair skills, and reduce your environmental impact. No admission charge. Friend-raiser: Misery
Monday-Wednesday, February 16-18, 2026. 6:00 p.m.-8 p.m. Peter White Public Library Community Room. Adults, Seniors. Some people will just kill for a good book. PWPL collaborates with Iron Arts Theatre to bring Stephen King’s classic story of obsession, love, and murder to the Community Room stage. Local favorites Jessica Red Bays and Adam Maslak take on the iconic roles of Annie Wilkes and writer Paul Sheldon. Don’t miss your chance to enjoy a little Misery this Valentine’s Day! PLEASE NOTE: This is a ticketed event. Tickets are $5 and can be picked up at the Circulation Desk starting Monday, January 5, 2026. Family Day & Family Night at Peter White: Blocks, Building and Towers
Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Family Day 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Family Night 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Peter White Public Library Youth Services Room. Families with youth of all ages, welcome to our brand-new monthly family themed drop-in library days! This first event will be all about building and towers – different building materials, appropriate for children of varying ages, will be throughout the kids’ room for families to enjoy building (and knocking down!) together. Prom Dress Swap
Saturday February 21, 2026. 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Peter White Public Library Community Room. All students in grades 9 to 12 are welcome. Looking for a Prom Dress, come to the Annual PWPL Prom Dress Swap. The Swap will be open 10 am – 4 pm, to anyone looking for a prom dress. We will be accepting dresses until Friday, February 20. Dresses can be dropped off in the Teen Zone. No admission charge.
