Marquette – Readers Theater will meet for a reading of “She Stoops to Conquer” by Oliver Goldsmith on Thursday, October 18 at 7 p.m. in the Shiras Room at the Peter White Public Library.
This comic masterpiece mocked the simple morality of sentimental comedies. The play is a lighthearted farce that derives its charm from the misunderstandings which entangle the well-drawn characters over the course of one evening.
Peter White Public Library’s Readers Theater is a group of adults, who are interested in drama and are willing and able to read a scripted role. They meet on the third Thursday of each month to read plays for enjoyment. New members are always welcome.
