Marquette – The Transition Marquette County Reading Group will hold a discussion of the book “Collapse”, by Jared Diamond, on Thursday, October 18 at 7 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Diamond, a geologist and biologist, identifies five sets of factors that put societies at risk for environmental damage, climate change, hostile neighbors, trading partners, and finally the population’s response to environmental challenges.
