Negaunee/Ishpeming – Bell Foundation and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Marquette and Alger County will offer the Inaugural Harvest Half Marathon, 5K, Fun Run and Family Festival on Saturday, October 6 in Ishpeming and Negaunee.
The half-marathon is a hybrid race that includes terrain through the city streets of Ishpeming and Negaunee, a portion of the paved Iron Ore Heritage Trail and a gravel trail that runs between Ishpeming and Negaunee.
Registration is $75 and participants will receive a long sleeve technical t-shirt, a lunch and beer garden voucher, and hand-crafted enameled antique Verde marble finishers medals upon completion.
The 5K starts at Lake Bancroft and weaves in an out of the streets of Ishpeming. Registration is $25 and participants will receive a t-shirt and racer bag. Trophies will be awarded for the top male and female in each age group.
The Kids Fun Run will be located at Bell Hospital along the Community Fitness Trail. Registration is $10 and participants will receive a t-shirt and participation ribbons. Trophies will be awarded for the top male and female in each age group.
Registration deadline is Wednesday, October 3.
