Marquette – An educational seminar on extreme obesity and surgical options available for weight reduction will be offered on Monday, July 21 at 6 p.m. in Conference Room 1 at Marquette General Hospital.
Bariatric surgeon Dr. Wayne English will describe the types of weight loss surgeries, explain who meets the surgery requirement, the guidelines patients must follow before and after surgery and post-surgical lifestyle changes.
The presentation will also cover the importance of post-bariatric surgery support groups that are available at MGH and throughout the Upper Peninsula via the Telehealth videoconference system.
The seminar may be available via video conferencing.
