Calumet – The Calumet Heritage Celebration, celebrating the contributions of Finnish immigrants to the Keweenaw Peninsula, will feature several events on Saturday, August 18 in Calumet.
Ethnic Breakfasts will be offered from 9 to 11 a.m. in Agassiz Park and sidewalk sales will be held throughout the day in downtown Calumet.
The Great Deer Chase (mountain bike race) will begin with a roll-out start at 10 a.m. on 5th Street.
The Copper Country Heritage Parade will begin at 11 a.m. on 5th Street, followed by a full afternoon of fun, food, music, vendors, and games in Agassiz Park. There will be horse-drawn guided tours. Music by “The Finn Hall Band” and “The Pasi Cats”
