Marquette – To coincide with the Model A Ford Club of America’s 2012 National Convention June 18 through 22, the Friends of Fashion will present “Henry and Clara: The Fords in the U.P.” Vintage Fashion Show on Thursday, June 21 at Upfront and Company, 102 E. Main Street, Marquette.
The afternoon begins with a social hour at 1 p.m., followed by the commencement of the fashion show at 2 p.m. The narrated show will feature authentic vintage fashions of the Ford era and will include both early family history and a pictorial tour of U.P. towns of the Ford empire.
Tickets are available for $25 each and include champagne, beverages, chocolates, and desserts. They can be purchased at the Marquette Arts & Culture Center, 217 N. The event is a fundraiser for the Father Marquette Statue Restoration Project and is sponsored by the Marquette Downtown Development Authority and the Marquette Beautification & Restoration Committee.
