Marquette – In celebration of “Dandelion Cottage Month” the Marquette Regional History Center will be hosting walking tours on Wednesday, June 13 at 2 p.m. and Thursday, June 14 at 7 p.m. on Arch and Ridge streets, beginning in the parking lot of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Marquette.
The walks will focus on the life of Carroll Watson Rankin, one of Marquette’s most famous authors, who published 11 books from 1904 through 1935. Her book, “Dandelion Cottage” was based on a true story about a cottage, four girls and a yard full of dandelions. The cottage that is still located on East Arch Street.
