Calendar – Education – Armed Forces Day Walk – May 19

Marquette – The Marquette Regional History Center will offer an Armed Forces Day Walk, featuring the stories of local men and women who fought in wars from the Civil War to the Vietnam War, on Saturday, May 19 beginning at 1 p.m. at the main gate of Holy Cross Cemetery on Wright Street in Marquette.

History Center guides will tell the stories of about a dozen men and women who served their country during times of conflict, some who died in battle and some who returned to Marquette after their service.

The program will feature some military music and “Taps” will be played at the grave of a Vietnam War soldier. A suggested donation of $5 will be appreciated to benefit the History Center.
