Marquette – In celebration of May as Mental Health month, the public is invited to explore the relationship between humor and good health on Tuesday, May 1 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Bill Waters, MS, MSW, humor consultant, mediator and clown with The Court Jester, Ink., will relate the details about his clowning mission trip to Afghanistan with Patch Adams, physician and creator of the Gesundheit! Institute. Water will also discuss the role of humor in the improvement of health of individuals and communities in crisis from sickness, war, poverty and injustice around the world.
There is no admission charge. This program is part of Your Mind Matters, an ongoing community dialog on mental health issues sponsored by a coalition of local community health organizations, advocacy groups, individuals and Peter White Public Library.
