Republic – St. Vincent de Paul of Republic along with the Republic-Michigamme school will host an old fashion Earth Day celebration on Saturday April 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Republic-Michigamme school auditorium.
There will be over a dozen earth friendly vendors with everything from goat milk soaps, rag rugs, ‘sweater’ purses and hats, mosaics, jewelry, organic dog treats and antiques.
There will be demonstrations on “lasagna” gardening, dividing
bulbs and plants, how to be self sustainable with wind and solor
power, composting, a display from the National Weather Service, and
homeopathic healings including yoga, tai chi, cupping, and massage
therepy.
A fashion show at 2 p.m. will feature the unique clothing of
Lanni Lannto, along with retro clothing from Antiques of Republic
and gently used clothing from St. Vincent de Paul of Republic.
A luncheon will be available for purchase. Admission is $1 at the
door for those 18 and older. Proceeds to benefit the
Republic-Michigamme school and Republic St. Vincent de Paul roof fund.
