Norway – The Annual Leif Erikson Viking Days Fall Festival will be held Friday, October 7 through Sunday, October 9 in Norway.
Local businesses will offer specials, demonstrations, games for children and raffle prizes. On Saturday, organizers will announce the winners of the all-new Miss Norway Competition, the Friend of Norway and the Senior Couple.
The annual Leif Erikson parade will take place on Main Street before activities shift to Norway’s Marion Park. At the city park, visitors will enjoy a taste of Norway provided by local restaurants, a fine-art and woodworking sale, farmer’s market, car show, children’s activities, Viking reenactments and a variety of music from local performers.
Additional activities include a special volleyball tournament hosted by the Thirsty Whale Bar and Grill on Friday evening and demonstrations and attractions highlighting Norway’s past on Sunday at The Jake Meneghini Memorial Museum.
