Marquette – Marquette attorney Cathy Church will present a seminar “Discourses from the Academy: U.S. Intimate Violence Deaths in the News” on Friday, October 7 at 3:10 p.m. in Gries Hall at Northern Michigan University.
Church is a legal expert on the process by which battering cases result in homicide. Her goal is to inform the public about the frequency of these cases in various contexts and to share this rich data source with NMU researchers who can process the data and draw conclusions.
