Marquette – On Sunday, October 26 at 7:30 p.m., internationally-known singer Frances Brockington and the Marquette Senior High School Redmen Chorale, accompanied by the MSHS Chamber Orchestra, will present the world premiere performances of “Let There Be Music” and “The Urge” composed by Michael Bryce, lyrics by Frances Brockington and CIeanthus Trilling, at Reynolds Recital Hall on the campus of NMU.
“Instructions for Elijah” composed by former Ishpeming resident James Hansen, lyrics by Myra Sklarew, will also be performed. Jeff Bruning of Marquette will serve as pianist.
Admission is free and seating is limited.
Works by Purcell, Koechlin, Carrisimi, Handel, Puccini, Moses Hogan and Mark Hayes also will be performed.
