Detroit, MI – The U.S. Small Business Administration and the Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center will conduct the 4th of 15 stops on the Small Business Outreach Tour at the Holiday Inn Marquette, 1951 US 41 West, Marquette, MI 49855 on August 16, 2011. Local entrepreneur Craig Lauerman, owner of Marble Arms, will share his story of how he is continuing the legacy of a company that began in 1892.
Lauerman first sought business counseling services from the Michigan Small Business and Technology Development Center Upper Peninsula in 2007 for help with business planning, costing, effective manufacturing processes and financial forecasting for future sales growth.
“Craig has an entrepreneurial spirit and a keen sense of business,” said Joel Schultz, Regional Director of the SBTDC. “His story is a compelling reason to check out the SBA Small Business Tour and get inspired.”
Experts will share their knowledge on exporting, financing, government contracting, marketing, social media, human capital, and financial management, and successful small business owners will share their stories at this tour stop; as well as, these upcoming locations:
