MARQUETTE, MI – Great Lakes Radio News – Fans of classic cars, hot rods, muscle cars, sports cars, drifters and gearheads of all types are converging in Ishpeming this weekend for the annual Buzz The Gut car show and cruise. This year marks the tenth year of this event and the field of entries looks to be bigger than ever.
Terry Surrell, certified motorhead and event organizer, joined Mark and Walt in the Morning today to chat about this extravaganza of automotive excellence. He outlined the schedule of events and how anyone with a cool car can get involved in this popular and family friendly show and cruise. According to Surrell, there should be well over 300 vehicles in this year’s ride, and should have something for everyone who loves cars.
The event is this Saturday and starts with a “Show and Shine” at 5-pm at the Cliffs Shaft parking lot in Ishpeming followed by a cruise from Ishpeming to Negaunee and back at 7-pm and a Sock Hop dance at the Ishpeming Elks Lodge.
