Calendar – Music – Final Negaunee City Band Concert – Aug. 10

Negaunee – The Negaunee City Band, led by Director Keith Lawson, will perform its final concert of the season on Wednesday, August 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Outdoor Performing Arts Center.

Featured performer will be clarinetist Tom Polkinghorne playing “A Tribute to Artie Shaw.” Marches will include “The Dam Busters,” “Florentiner March,” “Cyrus the Great” and Sousa’s “The Pride of the Wolverines.” The overture will be “Chester,” while the musical stage will be represented by selections from “The Phantom of the Opera.” Other numbers will include “Prelude and Fugue in B Flat Major,” “The Rakes of Mallow” and “Carnival of Melody.”

The concert and season will conclude with the traditional “Just a Closer Walk with Thee.”
