Marquette – The Northern Michigan University International Performing Arts Series will open with the Eisenhower Dance Ensemble on Thursday, September 15 at 7:30 p.m. in Forest Roberts Theatre.
The Eisenhower Dance Ensemble is Michigan’s premier contemporary dance company and showcases the works of young artists along with choreographers with established reputations.
As a prelude to its public performance, the Eisenhower Dance Ensemble will conduct a master dance class with local dance students (high school age and up) on the evening of September 14. Select members of this class will also rehearse a piece to be performed with the EDE at the public performance. To take part in the workshop, contact Daniel Truckey at 227-1219.
Tickets are $5 in advance, $6 at the door for students; $13 advance, $15 at the door for NMU Faculty/Staff/Seniors 60+; and $18 advance, $20 at the door for the general public. Tickets are available at all NMU EZ Ticket outlets and also may be purchased online at www.nmu.edu/tickets or by calling 227-1032.
Season tickets for the 2010-2011 series are $27 for NMU students, $32 for age 18 and younger, $77 for NMU faculty/staff and seniors 60 or older, and $102 for the general public.
