– The Northern Michigan University department of political science and public administration will host a free symposium titled “Innovations in Local Government Management” on Friday, February 6 from 3 to 5 p.m. in Mead Auditorium, West Science Building.
The symposium will examine research, practices and alternative strategies for addressing the current issues facing local governments. It also will address obstacles the Upper Peninsula faces in providing public services, such as distance, decreasing population and limited economic development.
Organizations are welcome to send representatives. If planning to attend, RSVP to Laura Clisch at 227-2019 by Wednesday. January 28.
