Marquette – The Afternoon Classic Films Series will present a screening of “Captains Courageous” on Monday, August 1 at 1:30 pm in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
A fine cast highlights this adaptation of the classic Rudyard Kipling story. Released in 1937, the black and white film earned Spencer Tracy a Best Actor Academy Award for his portrayal of Manuel. Run time is 116 minutes.
