The Marquette Area Public Schools Education Foundation Stays Cool And Raises Funds

MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Supporters of the Marquette Area Public Schools Education Foundation have a great opportunity during this extended heat wave to stay cool and help out the Foundation. This Sunday, a benefit for the MAPS Education Foundation is being held at Elizabeth’s Chop House in Marquette from 5pm to 8pm. The event is called “Ice Cream and Gelato in July” and all proceeds raised will go to in support of scholarships.

Joe Lubig, with the MAPS Education Foundation, joined Mark Evans and Walt Lindala this morning to discuss the details of the event. He also discussed what the Marquette Area Public Schools Education Foundation is all about and how it benefits students in the Marquette school system.
