MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) –Michigan Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley sat down with Great Lakes Radio News Director Walt Lindala to talk about his tour of the Upper Peninsula, the plans for getting Michigan back on it’s economic feet, the budget and more.
Lt. Governor Calley also outlined the change in focus in Lansing now that the normally vitriolic budget negotiation process is over. He discussed new initiatives that are based on results in several aspects of state government as well as rescinding some of the budget cuts made as the economy in Michigan recovers.
He also touched on several other issues facing the Upper Peninsula and the rest of the state, including how a “one size fits all” approach does not work in Michigan.
