Houghton – A two day health and safety seminar,”Blueprint for Safety and Health Management” will be held on Tuesday, February 3 and Wednesday, February 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the community room of the Upper Peninsula Power Company building along the Houghton city waterfront.
Participants will receive MIOSHA Training Institute certification through Macomb Community College for taking the course.
Topics will include worker protection costs, productivity, employee morale, system dynamics, employee involvement, safety training, hazards, accidents and plans.
Registration deadline is Monday, January 26. Cost is $150 which includes lunch and course materials and is due at registration.
