Marquette – The opening event for the U.P. Book Tour 2011 will be held on Thursday, June 23 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Peter White Public Library in Marquette.
The tour will feature 60 plus writers, 50 plus events, 30 plus days and 20 plus U.P. cities, making it the largest literary event in the history of the U.P.
On June 23, there will be a panel discussing the best Michigan book ever/best U.P. book ever. The panel members are Nancy Dwyer of Falling Rock Cafe and Bookstore, Austin Hummell of Northern Michigan University, Dianne Patrick of Snowbound Books, Cathy Seblonka of Peter White Public Library, and host Lisa Cerasoli Weaver.
Some the best book selections will be on sale after the event.
