Ann Gonyea with the Great Lakes Center for Youth Development joined Mark and Walt in the Morning for an update on activities going on at the agency. She outlined how you can nominate volunteers of all types for the U.P. Service Awards. The awards recognize volunteers from several categories and the deadline for nominations is Wednesday, June 1st.
She also outlined a pair of events next week in Munising and Marquette that will feature the findings of a survey of youth assets in Marquette and Alger Counties. The “2010 Profiles of Student Life: Attitudes and Behaviors Survey” data will be publicly distributed at the sessions.
