Dr. Dan Benishek joined us this morning to discuss his run for the 1-st Congressional District as a first-time politician. Benishek, who is running as a Republican, is a general surgeon from Crystal Falls who is running for the seat being vacated by long time Congressman Bart Stupak. Stupak recently announced he was not going to run for re-election after this current term. Benishek, who declared his candidacy prior to Stupak making his announcement, says he is the right person for job for a multitude reasons including his lack of political experience.
