Marquette – The Lake Superior Art Association will sponsor a silk painting demonstration by artist Christine Groleau on Tuesday, April 19 at 7 p.m. at the Marquette Arts and Culture Center, located on the lower level of the Peter White Public Library.
The painting of silk fabrics began thousands of years ago in China. A class for those interested in painting their own items will be scheduled at a later date.
