SENATOR DEBBIE STABENOW ON THE PRESIDENT’S VISIT TO MARQUETTE

U-S Senator Debbie Stabenow called in this morning to Mark and Walt in the Morning to chat about President Barack Obama’s trip to Marquette and the campus of Northern Michigan University. Senator Stabenow says that the President’s choice to come to NMU to announce his “Wireless Innovation and Infrastructure Initiative” was indicative of the success of the wireless 4G WiMax network and how it has served to benefit the university and surrounding communities. She also echoed the President’s comments that the university and Marquette community can serve as a model for wireless broadband technology development and implementation in rural communities around the nation.
