Marquette – The Superior Watershed Partnership, in cooperation with the Marquette Arts and Culture Center, will present the second Concert for Lake Superior on Sunday, October 18 at Upfront and Company in Marquette.
Doors open at 6 p.m. for a social hour and art opening, and the concert begins at 7 p.m.
The concert will include an eclectic mix of classical, contemporary and jazz music, featuring conductor Craig Randal Johnson and the Boreal Chamber Symphony. A new Lake Superior painting by local artist Paul Grant will be on display, as well as additional artwork provided by Northern Michigan University students in cooperation with the DeVos Art Gallery.
A donation of $10 is suggested to support pollution prevention programs of the Superior Watershed Partnership.
