K.I.Sawyer– Lake Superior Chapter 850 of the National Experimental Aircraft Association will offer free airplane flights for youths age 8 to 17 on Saturday, October 17 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the general aviation terminal south of the main passenger terminal at Sawyer International Airport.
The flights are limited to a one-time experience and offered on a first come first served basis.
The flights are offered through the Young Eagles program, sponsored by the NEAA. All pilots are certified by the Federal Aviation Administration and donate the use of their planes.
Flights may be canceled due to unfavorable weather. For information, call 361-6196.
