Marquette – “Beyond Green: Toward a Sustainable Art,” a touring art exhibit with works of international artists from cities such as Copenhagen, London, Vienna and San Juan, as well as U.S. cities, will be on display at the DeVos Art Museum at NMU from January 19 through March 30.
An opening reception will be held on Thursday, January 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the museum, with the Chanteymen playing live music on recycled hybrid instruments.
Attendees will be able to see the results of the community recycling paint project that relied on donations from local residents.
The public is invited. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, noon to 8 p.m. on Thursdays, and 1 to 4 p.m. on weekends.
