Negaunee – The Michigan Iron Industry Museum, 73 Forge Road, Negaunee Township, will raise the curtain on its new high-definition video “Iron Spirits” at a fall open house on Saturday, October 3 from 1 to 4 p.m.
The video will be shown at 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. Seasonal refreshments will be served. Admission is free; donations are accepted to support museum education programs.
The video, with a script by Frida Waara and performances by local volunteer actors Don Mourand and Sally Major, captures the indomitable spirit and enterprise of both managers and miners that marked their ongoing struggle in a challenging natural environment.
The recently expanded museum is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information, call 475-7857.
