The film “The Ground Truth” will be shown on Wednesday, September 30 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library of Marquette as part of the Global Issues Film Series.
Veterans of the Iraq War talk about their devastating experiences with recruitment, training, combat and homecoming. They speak of their struggles to reintegrate with their families and communities, how they deal with their personal demons, and the support they give to other veterans.
New and gently used paperback books will be accepted to be mailed to U.S. soldiers serving overseas. If possible, include $1 in the book to cover postage.
