Ishpeming – The Friends of the Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library will sponsor a lyceum program titled “An Exploration of Willows” on Sunday, September 26 at 2 p.m. in the children’s room of the library.
Light refreshments will be served. This program is geared toward an adult audience.
Poppy Hatinger will discuss the willow plant from its historical to modern day applications, and will present a look at uses of willows from the practical to the whimsical.
Hatinger will also discuss growing and harvesting this sustainable product with applications for its use in the garden, crafting, habitat restoration and as a green biomass fuel source.
