Marquette – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will host an “Evolution of the U.P. 200 Sled Dog Races” presentation on Thursday, January 9 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in room 101B of the Superior Dome on the campus of Northern Michigan University.
Pat Torreano, founder and historian for U.P. 200, be the presenter. Discussion topics will include the U.P. 200’s history, mushers and dogs, map routes of the race, the coordination of efforts involved in the event and the behind-the-scenes activity that comprises the U.P. 200.
