Calendar – Education – “Peregrinations: Walking in American Literature” Presentation – Nov. 11

Marquette – Northern Michigan University professor Amy Hamilton will present an English Faculty Research Colloquium titled “Peregrinations: Walking in American Literature” on Friday, November 11 at 1 p.m. in 1320 Jamrich Hall at NMU.

This is the tentative title of her second book, which explores the trope of walking in American texts from a cross-cultural perspective. Hamilton demonstrates how representations of walking allow writers to engage with a wide array of histories, stories and traditions.

The public is invited. For more information, contact the English department at 227-2711 or english@nmu.edu.
