Gwinn – K.I. Sawyer Elementary School will host open houses on Wednesday, September 2 at 6 p.m. and on Thursday, September 3 at 1 p.m.
Each open house will begin with an assembly for parents/guardians in the school cafeteria. Students and family members will meet their child's teacher and learn about school activities for the 2009-10 school year.
Each assembly will end with a drawing for door prizes from local businesses. Parents will receive their child's classroom placement. Class lists will not be posted around the community or at the school as in previous years.
Parents must attend an open house to receive their child's placement. If parents are unable to attend, Sawyer staff will be available to direct students to the correct classroom on the first day of school. All classroom placements are final.
