Negaunee – The Negaunee City Band will offer a free concert on Wednesday, August 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the Outdoor Performing Arts Center at the east end of Iron Street. this is the final concert of the season.
Director Keith Lawson has chosen several novelty numbers, including “Original Dixieland Concerto” and “The Woodwind Polka.” The week’s overture is “Chester,” while stage and screen are represented by “The Magic of Andrew Lloyd Webber” and selections from “Mama Mia.” Marches include “Lights Out,” “The Little English Girl,” “Colonel Bogey,” and Sousa’s “The Gallant Seventh,” as well as an armed services medley. The concert will conclude with “Just a Closer Walk with Thee.”
