Negaunee – Four-time Olympic gold medalist Janet Evans will be this year’s special guest at the seventh annual Teal Lake Swim for Diabetes, to be held on Saturday, July 31.
The 2.25 mile open-water swim will feature a race within a swim. U.P. high school swimmers are invited to represent their schools and hometowns by swimming and raising money as a team. The school team that raises the most money will be awarded a traveling trophy.
Proceeds from the event will benefit projects of the Upper Peninsula Diabetes Outreach Network.
