Marquette – St. Mark’s Lutheran Church will host a fair trade market on Saturday, May 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday, May 2 from noon to 3 p.m. at the church, 1318 Presque Isle Avenue, Marquette.
The sale will include handcrafted jewelry, purses, scarves, bags, wood products, garden and gift items. All items are handmade by disadvantaged artisans in developing regions around the world. Fair Trade soup mixes, coffee, tea and a variety of chocolate items will also be available. Each purchase helps the artisans and growers maintain steady work and earn a sustainable income so they can provide for their families.
